Word of the Week – Camping

This was us last weekend on our first camping trip of the year.  Don’t be fooled by the sunshine and blue skies as it was absolutely freezing, literally!

Despite having temperatures close to zero at night we did have a lovely time and it was great to get back under canvas.  The sun shone for the entire long weekend and getting away from it all was exactly what we needed.  I have spent the entire week washing and rewashing clothing to get the smell of campfire out of it but it was all worth it to get out in the fresh air, soak up the sun and enjoy a hike or two 😀

A very beautiful spot for camping, you can’t better waking up to that view in the morning. Cold sunny weather is much better than slightly warmer wet weather, at least you can wrap up in layers.

No not ours, over here the campsites in the provincial parks all have a table or two on them, you can buy plastic gingham table clothes that for them perfectly though:-) Don’t apologise I’m always checking out everyone else’s camping kit! 😀

It looks so beautiful and calm there, though I’m imagining it as freezing and it loses a little appeal! Glad you had a great time, all together 🙂 Thanks for sharing with #WotW

Looks so much fun. I really wanted to do them. Use a tent first and try it on the terrace & eventually go out and sleep in the outdoors. I cant even afford the tent yet =)

Thanks for sharing your trip, Looks like a fun one =) #WOTW

What a gorgeous spot! It makes me want to go camping, too! Hubby is definitely taking the kids on a wild camping trip in the moors next week, but I am not sure whether I will join them or not yet (bit close to due date for that). Mel #WotW

I love camping in cooler weather (call me crazy) nothing better than bundles of bedding and I hate waking on hot mornings to a suffocating hot tent that has heated up when the sun rose before you chose to!
