Happy New Year to you all.
As 2013 draws to a close I would like to say a brief but heart felt thank you to everyone who takes the time to read my ramblings and comment on my posts, it honestly means so much to me that people are interested in what I have to say and the positive feedback I get, from my photos in particular, blows me away, a simple thank you doesn’t seem to cut it somehow. I wish you and your families a healthy and happy 2014.
2013 was a busy year for us, it started in the sunshine on our first family trip to Florida.
Only to return home to find ourselves in the midst of a ‘proper’ Canadian Winter which included scenes like this…digging out after ‘snowmageddon’ in February
but it made for some pretty pictures
In March we were fortunate enough to have my sister and her family come to stay, it was their first trip to Canada and we had a fantastic two weeks together.
The spring, although late to arrive, found us packing up the truck to enjoy a few camping trips
We discovered some beautiful places and along the way began to really to feel at home here.
We met a few of the locals!
And bought a canoe.
My wonderful parents gave me the best surprise ever when they turned up out of the blue to spend my 40th birthday with me!
Eldest son made us extremely proud when he graduated high school and, despite incredibly low odds, landed a place in the college course of his dreams.
Winter arrived in November, a whole month earlier than it has the last two years
and an intense ice storm hit just a few few days before Christmas with some fairly dramatic results
So that was our 2013, it will be a hard one to beat but we’re going to give it our best shot!
